About Us

  • Dog training is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. Each dog has a unique situation that needs to be considered, so we offer a range of programs to make sure we can serve each client properly. Feel free to contact us regarding any of these K9 dog training programs for more information. Of course, if your situation doesn’t fit nicely into any of these categories, we’d still love to hear from you – we’ll discuss your needs and see if we can work out an appropriate plan of action.

    Private Dog Training

For dog owners who are currently feeling overwhelmed by the behavior problems that their dog is facing, private dog training sessions are crucial. In this setting, you will have the opportunity to work directly with a top dog trainer in the Denver area. The one-on-one nature of our private lessons allows significant progress to be made in a short amount of time. Even a single session can leave you feeling a lot better about your relationship with your dog, and a series of sessions could lead to a pet that has been completely transformed. If you plan to get a dog for security reasons, you’ll need to make sure that the dog is properly trained as a protection dog. Not all dog trainers will be qualified to do this kind of work, so turn to Ancillary K9 as a trusted option in Denver for such an important job.

    Canine Good Citizen Training

Our CGC classes are open to all breeds, ages, and sizes of dogs. Of course, training a puppy will be different than training an aggressive dog with behavior problems. Our Canine Good Citizen training will get your dog ready to pass the CGC evaluation.

  • Picking a dog trainer is an important choice. While there are plenty of businesses in the greater Denver area offering general dog training services, but not all of them have the experience or knowledge necessary to deliver great results. It’s worth spending some time researching your options before you commit to one of the top dog trainers in the region.

When picking the dog trainer in Denver that you will work with, be sure to keep in mind the specific needs of your dog. Why are you looking into training services in the first place? If you are hoping for one specific outcome – like developing a German Shepherd into a protection dog, for example – you will have to work with a trainer that knows that breed of dog training intimately. Don’t expect that a trainer who specializes in one area, like puppy training, will be able to carry those skills over to all other areas. At Ancillary K9, we have extensive experience standard and large breeds like the Rottweiler, Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, and Cane Corso, but not all dog trainers in Denver do.

Without a doubt, the best way to pick out the right dog trainer for you and your dog is to reach out and discuss your needs directly with the trainer. This kind of open communication will ensure that everyone is on the same page before any appointments are made and training sessions begin. It’s better to work out the details in advance than to begin training before you realize that it’s not a good fit.

About Our Services

  • Any dog from a Pitt Bull to a Belgian Malnois could benefit from our training programs, from puppies who need obedience training to adult dogs who exhibit naughty behavior. It’s easy to see the need to contact a Denver dog behaviorist when a dog is being aggressive and creating a dangerous situation, but that’s far from the only reason to work with our experienced trainers. Sometimes, a dog owner wants nothing out of training other than slightly improved behavior and the ability to follow a few basic commands.

The need for behavioral training isn’t likely to have much to do with the breed of the dog. Sure, some breeds like the German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, and Rottweiler are often more likely to demonstrate aggressive behavior than others, and some are more energetic than others, but all types of dogs can benefit from the right type of training provided by the right trainers. To put it simply – if a dog owner would like to see their dog learn a new skill or eliminate bad behavior, professional training is the answer.

  • Virtually all dogs can benefit from private training. Most dogs have some habits that should be worked on. You and your family may unknowingly contribute to such unwanted behavior.

If your dog is inhibiting any negative behaviour such as aggression towards other people or dogs, habits they cant seem to grow out of, or anything else you want to see changed, we can help.

Aggression in dogs can be dangerous. It’s best to stop this behaviour immediately so it doesn’t continue to worsen. Has your dog received a court order for training or have your neighbours expressed frustration with your pet? We can help!

  • It’s not uncommon for people to say, “I’ve tried everything.”, and to think the only way to find success is to send their dog away. The fact is, trainers are experts in dealing with dog behavior and will have no problem getting your dog under control. But what happens when the leash is handed back? If you don’t have the experience of training dogs, your dog will know it, and they can quickly fall back into old behavioral patterns.

To see long-term success in your dog’s behavior, you need to be involved in the training process. It doesn’t matter if you’re teaching a dog to stop barking at the door, to walk properly on a leash, to stop chewing the furniture, or to stop lunging at dogs and people as you walk down the street… YOU are the person who needs to be responsible for your dog.

  • We believe its never too late to train a dog. Aggressive and ‘problem dogs’ are our specialty. Dont give up on your dog until you’ve tried Ancillary K9!
