5280 Top of The Town Winner!

THANK YOU!

Thank you Denver dog owners and dog lovers! Your votes and support made us the 5280 Readers Choice Award Winner for Pet Services in Denver! The Editor’s Choice Award went to Canine Rehabilitation & Conditioning Group. We’d like to congratulate them too!

Denver has a wealth of fantastic dog and pet services, so we’re pretty psyched (and humbled) that you guys voted for us. We’re even more pleased because the 5280 Awards are pure votes. You don’t have to be an advertiser or buy an ad to get special attention. These are legitimate awards that are chosen by readers and that means so much more. We think we’re making a difference in the lives of dogs and pet parents, but this proves it.

WHAT ARE THE 5280 TOP OF THE TOWN AWARDS?
The Top of the Town Awards are a big deal. They’re honest awards, not an advertising gimmick where only advertisers win. You don’t even have to advertise to compete. The idea is to show Denver and those who love the best places to dine, shop, and get pampered where the best shops and services are.

So, every year 5280’s reporters and editors spend months choosing winners for every category on the ballot. Their research is anonymous and there are no freebies. They pay for all their meals and services. I never even suspected I was being evaluated! Still don’t know who the mystery shopper was! Then their readers pick their favorites by casting their votes at their online ballot page. The businesses that receive the most votes win.

WHO WE ARE
Ancillary K9 is a pet service. We’re actually a dog training company started in 2015 by myself. Prior to starting the business I had kind of a problem dog myself. In my search to find a good trainer who understood problem dogs, I went through several training services before finding Mark Chaffin (FamilyK9s) at High Plains Schutzhund Club in Elizabeth, CO. I think Mark was one of the original dog whisperers!  No one knows dogs like Mark and his wife Ann Marie.

After working with Mark for awhile and getting my dog to be not only obedient but a dream pet, I learned I had a knack for training problem dogs. Even better, I loved doing it. That’s how finding your passion turns into starting a business. Ancillary K9 grew quickly, doubling in size and the number of clients every year for the past four years. Our reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, Thumbtack and other sites are all 5-star feedback - proof that our pet parents, dogs, and clients are loving our approach to dog training.

WHAT WE DO
I’d estimate that 80% to 90% of the dogs we train are what their owners call “problem dogs.” They might be stubborn, or aggressive, or apathetic, or may even have biting issues. We work with dogs and owners to show them how to change bad habits, how to heed commands, and how to be the “good dogs” we all want. We have basic command classes for all ages and breeds of dogs, and we work one-on-one as well. We have different plans to choose from, and we also offer payment plans.

If you have a dog, or are thinking about getting one, visit our site for tips on what to look for. If you have a dog you’d like to train, but aren’t sure where to start, call us to find out.

Thanks again to all of you for your votes, support, and business. We really do appreciate it all.

If you have questions or need help with your dog, reserve a complimentary consultation.
